Hull’s cultural and political leaders have thrown their support behind Holy Trinity’s ambitious £4.5 million development plans.

Chair of Hull UK City of Culture 2017, Rosie Millard, said: “Holy Trinity Church is one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring buildings in the country, let alone in East Yorkshire.

“Through this transformation, Holy Trinity can become, once again, a focal point and a beacon in the historic heart of Hull. I’m delighted to see the church looking to the future in ways that will introduce it to a wide, new audience.”

A poignant new play about how the First World War impacted the lives of Hull women is coming to Holy Trinity next month.

Based on factual events, this new drama which includes music and poetry, looks at the war on the Home Front through the eyes of five fictional characters, who work at Madame Clapham’s in Kingston Square (now The Kingston Theatre Hotel). It will be performed in the amazing surroundings of Holy Trinity by local dramatic group, Theatre On The Edge

Holy Trinity is delighted to announce that it has joined Hull’s rapidly-growing business network, The Bondholders.

Almost 250 businesses and organisations are now part of the scheme, working together to raise the profile of Hull and the Humber.

Now 88-year-old Una Beswick has hung up her feather duster for the last time and retired from cleaning duties.

Great freedom figures from history and their legacy were celebrated at a special fringe event organised by Holy Trinity for The Freedom Festival.

A wonderful atmosphere was created at The Kingston Pub last Sunday as musicians performed, extracts from famous speeches were read and a talk was given about what freedom means to Christians.
