Holy Trinity is supporting an appeal to help bring relief to thousands of people caught up in the Ebola crisis in our twin city of Freetown, in Sierra Leone.
Hull’s Ebola Crisis Appeal is raising money to provide buckets with taps, chlorine tablets, soap and bleach which will be distributed around the city to help in the fight against the deadly disease.
During Freetown Week from October 20th to 27th, we will be holding prayer vigils every lunchtime at 12.30pm in the Broadley Chapel. We will also be staging a special Freetown focus day on Saturday, October 25th from 11am to 3pm and a dedicated Freetown Sunday service on the 26th at 11.15am.
Organiser Revd Allen Bagshawe said: “It’s a desperate situation in Freetown as they try to fight off the ebola virus. We’d like to encourage everyone to donate what they can and take the opportunity to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Sierra Leone during Freetown Week.”
