Holy Trinity pioneer minister Rev’d Matt Woodcock and former soldier Danny Johnson have raised more than £400 for church funds after running the Mablethorpe Half Marathon.
The lads completed the gruelling course in a time of 1 hour 53 minutes.
Rev Matt said: 'We are so grateful to everyone who supported us. It's a good job we prayed before setting off because my legs were just about gone by the tenth mile! Danny was a fantastic running companion who hardly broke sweat and one of our church members Ken kindly acted as our support crew. We know that all the money raised will be put to very good use by us at the church. Thank you!'
Matt and Danny now plan to cycle from coast to coast on the church tandem over the summer.
