Hull University Founder's Day

It is with tremendous pride that we warmly invite you to join alumni, staff, students, civic dignitaries and friends of the University for the 2015 Founder’s Day Celebration, returning to Holy Trinity Church for the first time in a generation on 23rd April.

The Founder’s Day Celebration is a central part of the University calendar. It is the occasion when we recall and celebrate Thomas Ferens and his act of philanthropy which led to the founding of the University of Hull.

This year, the celebration will comprise of a performance of ancient music by the University Chapel Choir perfect for the acoustics of this 700 year old building, a fascinating talk by a world authority on British Parliament and member of the House of Lords, followed by a convivial drinks reception.

6.40pm  Choir/Solo performance
7pm       Lord Norton’s talk entitled ‘Speaking for Hull: Thomas 
              Ferens as Parliamentarian’
7.45pm  Choir/Solo
8pm       Close, followed by drinks reception
