Opera North Children's Chorus and Youth Chorus

Join us for an inspiring afternoon of music from the Opera North Children’s Chorus and Youth Chorus. Performances will include repertoire from our upcoming production of ‘The Selfish Giant’, based on the popular children’s story by Oscar Wilde with libretto adapted by Justin Doyle (Musical Director) and music by George Frederic Handel.

 Opera North Education delivers a wide range of projects across the North of England which create opportunities for people of all ages to engage with the arts. This performance by our Leeds based ensembles is a chance to experience the opportunities that await for the young people of Hull, ahead of the launch of a new Children’s Chorus and Youth Chorus in the city in September 2015.

 Join us after the performance for an exciting, creative workshop at Holy Trinity Church and learn how you too can join from September 2015:

 When?           5.00 – 6.00pm: Children’s Chorus taster session for 8 - 14 years                      5.00 – 6.30pm: Youth Chorus taster session for 14 - 19 years
