We are proud to be registered as a Accessible Church with the Additional Needs Alliance
We have the following provisions in place to help include those with additional needs:
The church building is accessible throughout for users of wheelchairs and mobility scooters, including participation in Communion.
Large-print service sheets and notice sheets available.
NIrV Accessible New Testaments available for use
Fidget/Sensory toys are available at services as part of our accessibility pack available at the rear of church. Just ask a volunteer for one.
A small number of wide-bay parking spaces on the North side of the church. Street parking with a disability bay is also available on the South side of the church.
All our groups for under 18s (both Sunday and midweek) include provision for those with additional needs - a quiet corner, fidget toys and ear defenders, and Visual timetables and songs with Makaton and BSL.
Both members of staff who lead our work with under 18s are experienced in working with those with Additional Needs, as are a number of our clergy and volunteers.
Major services and Civic services have BSL interpretation. We also hold an 'Accessible Christingle' service every year which has BSL interpretation, Visual Timetables, a Sensory Room, provision for service dogs and multi-sensory elements.
Ambulant cubicles and accessible toilet in church, with four ‘Changing Places’ toilets available nearby, including one in Trinity Market (less than 50m from Hull Minster).
We encourage those who have questions or specific needs to get in touch with us to see how else we can help include you fully in worship.
